Big Dogs Free to Adopt at the Arizona Humane Society Jan. 12-14

Written by: Arizona Humane Society
Adopt a big dog for free this weekend so we can clear space for incoming gentle giants.

Capacity for big dogs at the Arizona Humane Society has reached critically low levels. To help make room for incoming sick, injured and abused canines, ALL big dogs 50 pounds and over will be free to adopt this weekend Jan. 12-14 at both our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus and PetSmart Scottsdale location. Don’t miss this opportunity to begin the New Year with a big bestie by giving a large dog a loving home for free!

AHS is grappling with a significant number of owner surrender cases, often involving dogs of larger breeds. We need your help to ensure we have the space needed to care for these pets as we work tirelessly to find them new families.

Whether your New Year’s resolution is to get fit or to start making new connections, any of our gentle giants would love to be chosen as your new workout buddy and best friend. Take a peek at the many big dogs in our care by visiting azhumane.org/adopt.

Event details:

  • $0 adoption fees for all big dogs weighing 50 pounds or more
  • January 12-14 at BOTH our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus and PetSmart Scottsdale location (Miller/Camelback)
  • All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Adopters will also take home a starter kit of Hill’s Science Diet food.

Thank you for helping us care for as many of the Valley’s most vulnerable pets as possible!
