New Dog Field Trip Volunteer Program Helps Keep Canines Happy

Written by: Arizona Humane Society
We've launched an innovative Dog Field Trip volunteer program open to the public aimed at enriching the lives of shelter dogs during their stay.

During a dog field trip, an adoptable dog (who has been with AHS for more than 15 days) is taken out on a fun excursion, such as a hike, a coffee date or a meal at a pet-friendly location. Not only does the dog benefit tremendously from a change of scenery, extra socialization and a chance to have some straight-up fun, but human participants can also benefit by knowing their field trip helped brighten up a pup’s day.

  • Volunteers must be at least 21 years old (but friends and family can attend)
  • Weekends only
  • Currently only at our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus

If you or someone you know would like to participate in the program, sign up today! You’ll surely have a blast, and our dogs will be so grateful!
