Adoption Fees for ALL Pets Waived to Help Empty Our Shelter

Written by: Arizona Humane Society
In partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation, we'll be waiving adoption fees February 7-11 to place 400 pets in new homes!

image003.jpgWe’ve got a big adoption goal this week and need our community’s help to make room for more injured, sick and abused animals.

One month into the new year, there has been no relief from the pet overcapacity crisis that persisted throughout 2023. Last month, we cared for more than 1,500 pets, which is a 4 percent increase over January 2023. To continue caring for the Valley’s most vulnerable animals, we’re hoping to place 400 animals in new homes this week by waiving adoption fees for all pets, including puppies! This offer is valid at both locations February 7-11 as part of the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters adoption event.

image004.jpgLast fiscal year, we cared for more than 600 moms and puppies, a 24 percent increase from the previous year, and the most in our Mutternity Suites’ six-year history. Puppies like Satin (pictured above), an 8-week-old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix who was one of six pups found in a box (pictured right) outside of our South Mountain campus in December. After several weeks of intensive care from our medical staff and a stay in a Foster Hero’s home where she was bottle fed, Satin is ready to find her forever home.

Event Details:

  • ALL fees waived for ALL pets of ALL ages
  • Both our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain campus and PetSmart Scottsdale (Miller/Camelback) location
  • All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and adopters will take home a starter kit of Hill’s Science Diet food.
