Young Animal Lovers Welcome

Spend Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall Breaks with AHS’ Award-Winning Camps

It’s time to get up close and personal with pets! We are proud to offer a whole lineup of animal camps throughout the year for kids and teens ages 5-17 who are interested in learning more about animals and animal careers. Animal camps teach kids how to train and care for animals, be responsible pet guardians, align their choices with their values and make our community a safer and more compassionate place for all animals. Campers will have hands-on learning opportunities with a variety of animals.

The Arizona Humane Society’s national award-winning Summer Camp programs are the 2021 recipient of the American Camp Association’s National Eleanor P. Eells for Program Excellence Award!

Per CDC guidelines, masks are now optional for visitors entering AHS property. This policy is subject to change based on CDC recommendations. In the event of a policy change, all registrants will be updated via email.

Winter Camp Compassion Crew

Ages 9 – 12

Looking for a fun way to brush off the after-holiday daze? Join our Winter Camp Compassion Crew! During this exciting, flexible 3-day program (December 28th, 29th, and 30th), your young animal lover can give back to homeless pets through innovative behavioral enrichment projects like puzzle feeders, scent enrichment, and toy design. They’ll even get the chance to get hands-on with our very own animal teachers as they learn all about how their actions can impact animal lives.

During this program, 9 – 12 year olds will spend up to 3 days at our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus, enriching the lives of pets awaiting adoption. Each day offers a different adventure; on day one we focus on our critters, day two on cats, and day three is spent making our dogs’ lives that much brighter; choose one or all three!

The camp costs just $50 per day. So, take advantage of this opportunity for your child to learn compassion for all animals while spreading some howl-i-day cheer. Register now!
