Read to Our Dogs. They Love It!

Is your child a passionate animal lover but not quite old enough to volunteer? Reading Fur Fun is a special reading program that gives children the opportunity to improve their reading skills by enriching the lives of shelter dogs! Each month, children ages 8-11 can sign up to read to our dog friends at our Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion. This helps students practice reading and teaches important socialization skills to our dogs awaiting adoption. Your child can even wear their favorite story book character costume!

AHS will have a selection of books on hand, but kids are welcome to bring their own.

Reading Fur Fun is offered one Saturday a month from 10-11 a.m. at the Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion. Sign your child up today!
