Thirty Little Faces, Scared and Confused.

That’s what awaited Arizona Humane Society Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ when they were called to scene of a house fire in Phoenix earlier this year.

Nearly three dozen Chihuahuas, a mix of 6-week-old puppies and adults, were rescued from the fire. Family members were able to take a few dogs and 23 were transferred to AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ for treatment.

After weeks of care in our trauma hospital and foster hero homes, all 23 pups eventually found forever homes.

Each day, AHS EAMTs are out in our community rescuing sick, injured and abused animals who need a second chance at life. And today, you can help save twice as many lives thanks to our good friends at VCA Animal Hospitals, who will match your gift dollar for dollar up to $30,000!

It costs an average of $910 to care for each pet who enters our shelter, so doubling your gift will go such a long way toward saving lives! Turn $50 into $100, $100 into $200 or $500 into $1,000 and help give pets just like our rescued Chihuahuas a fresh start to the new year.

Thank you for giving hope to homeless and abused animals this holiday season.
