kittens What’s better than the purrs, nuzzles and spunk of a kitten? How about two kittens?

In celebration of National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month in June, you can take advantage of AHS’ special Twice as Nice program and adopt two kittens for just $150!

Not only do you get double the cuteness, but there are also a variety of social and behavioral benefits that come from adopting a pair of kittens together.

Benefits of pairing kittens

•	Tempers normal kitten behaviors such as scratching or biting – having a second cat, especially an older one, models appropriate behaviors
•	Cleaner cats – cats groom each other, often cleaning places that a single cat can’t reach on its own
•	Safeguarding furniture – kittens are curious and full of energy, if they have a furry playmate, they will use up a lot of that energy on non-destructive activities
•	It’s fun – there are two million cat videos on YouTube, with 24.6 billion views between them, so it’s clear that cats are fun to watch. And you can’t have a “cats playing patty cake” video (which has more than 2.4 million views) without two cats. And you can’t inspire the creative genius of teens who did a voiceover on what the cats were thinking in that same video (which has more than 20.7 million views)
•	Having double the animals isn’t double the work – because pets with siblings are happier and well-adjusted, more time will be spent enjoying your animals than fixing all of the destructive behavior that the boredom of being alone brings
