Thanks for the Love!

Thanks to the thousands of Safeway shoppers throughout Arizona who helped “Paws for Love” during the month of February and raised $28,763 to help homeless pets. That is enough to save the lives of 68 animals in need!

Paws for Love was a month-long campaign in which AHS teamed up with all 113 Arizona Safeway stores, offering shoppers the chance to donate upon checkout to AHS’ lifesaving programs and services.

Thank you to Safeway and media partner 3TV for their support of our homeless pets and each shopper who showed that neglected animals really aren’t neglected, that homelessness doesn’t equate to heartlessness, and that few things heal injuries quite as well as compassion. Together, we proved that even the smallest donation gets dog tails wagging and cats purring.
