Puppy Found in Dumpster Recovering at AHS

The puppy was transferred from the Surprise Police Department to the Arizona Humane Society’s Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™.

AHS’ trauma vets have examined the puppy who has puppy strangles, an autoimmune disease that affects the skin, but can resolve with medication. The pup will head into an AHS Foster Hero home for the next several weeks to continue in his recovery.

Our focus right now is on his health, as his immune system is very weak. We will post updates on his recovery as they come!
