Double Your Gift For Animals in Need, Like Sweet Sammie

Now through Valentine’s Day (February 14), when you Paws for Love and make a gift, your lifesaving donation will be matched up to a $7,500 total match by a gift from Don Scott in loving memory of his mother, Florence Scott, a true animal lover and advocate. Turn $100 into $200 and $250 into $500 so we can show the love to twice as many pets like Sammie.

When Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ found Sammie, she had no access to water, food or reachable shelter and was tied to a chain so large that it weighed nearly as much as the skinny, underweight Pit Bull. That had been Sammie’s sad reality for the first year of her life. Neglected, malnourished and in need of help.

We brought Sammie to our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ where we tended to her medical needs and put her on a strict diet to gain weight. Additionally, Sammie has spent time with our Behavior team immersed in kennel enrichment activities to stimulate her mind and help socialize her while she continues her recovery and prepares for a new life.

After several weeks on the mend, you won’t believe her amazing transformation.

Paws for Love is our chance to show that neglected animals like Sammie really aren’t neglected, that homelessness doesn’t equate to heartlessness, and that few things heal injuries quite as well as compassion. Together, we can all make a difference and double our impact to get twice as many dog tails wagging and twice as many cats purring.
