- Hikers out exploring the trails near Central and Hatcher stumbled upon an injured dog at the top of the mountain.
- The dog, now known as Roy, was rescued and carried off the mountain by our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ who believe he was stranded there for a week.
- Thin and unable to stand with an injured leg, Roy underwent medical treatment in the Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital ™ and spent the next few weeks recovering.
- He is now healthy and ready to start the next chapter in life. Roy is available for adoption at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope Campus!
