Laser Therapy Helps Bring Coco Back from Death’s Door

Coco-Before-After

Coco, a 1-year-old Miniature Pinscher, was found wandering the sweltering Valley streets with third-degree burns along her back.  AHS’ Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ rushed her to AHS’ trauma center where veterinarians removed the dead tissue and then cleaned her wounds daily with applications of honey wraps and coconut oil. Over the next four weeks, Coco received 23 laser therapy treatments in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Hospital™ to help speed up her recovery process while recuperating in an AHS foster hero home.

When it came time for her adoption day, she was immediately scooped up by a loving family who vows to never let her out of their sight.

This summer, we are on a mission to make happy “after” stories for thousands of “before” pets just like Coco, and we need your help. When you join the Summer to Save Lives, you are giving a second chance to animals with nowhere else to turn. Whether you make a lifesaving gift, join our “Save a Life” Challenge or shop at Safeway, your support allows our EAMTs and Second Chance hospital to bring pets like Coco back from death’s door.
