IKEA Features Arizona Humane Society Pets in Tempe Showroom

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

What started out as a genius idea in the Singapore IKEA has moved its way right into our own backyard as the Arizona Humane Society’s shelter pets are showcased in IKEA showrooms in an effort to increase awareness towards homeless pets. In addition, AHS’ Waggin’ Wheels mobile pet adoption unit will be offering adoptions at IKEA this Saturday, June 28.

The Tempe, Arizona IKEA store is the first store in the United States to help showcase shelter pets in their showrooms. The three Arizona Humane Society dogs, one puppy and two kitties were part of an AHS photo shoot and their life-size cutouts are now displayed in various showrooms throughout the store and will remain there throughout the entire summer. Each cutout will feature a QR code that will take people right to AHS’ adoptable pet pages.

Shylow, featured below at the shelter and with his very own cutout, is currently available for adoption at AHS’ Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion and if still available IKEA shoppers will get the opportunity to meet the real Shylow and take him home this weekend as AHS’ Waggin’ Wheels Pet Adoption vehicle descends upon IKEA.
