Help AHS Become Top Dog at Phoenix Open
Who will be top dog at the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open? With your support, it will be the Arizona Humane Society! Join the action at the Waste Management Phoenix Open and help our cause through the tournament’s Birdies for Charity Program, benefiting the Arizona Humane Society.
You don’t need to be a golfer or even a golf fan to take part in Birdies for Charity. What’s important is that by participating in the program, you will Give Help, Give Hope, and Give Life to the thousands of animals in our care who deserve a second chance.
You participate in the program by making a pledge amount based on the number of birdies made by top PGA TOUR professionals during the 2013 Waste Management Phoenix Open, which will take place January 28th through February 3rd at TPC Scottsdale. Thunderbirds Charities has graciously offered to match 10 percent of your generous donation, meaning even more support for the animals we all love.
You may choose to make a one-time donation, or you can make a pledge for each birdie made during the tournament. In recent years, the tournament has averaged about 1,500 total birdies. So you can estimate your total pledge amount by multiplying your individual birdie pledge by 1,500. For example, if you pledge one penny for every birdie made, your total pledge would amount to approximately $15.00. After the tournament, Thunderbirds Charities will bill you for the amount of your pledge. It’s that simple.
The Waste Management Phoenix Open and Thunderbirds Charities are giving us the opportunity to generate support for the thousands of animals the Arizona Humane Society cares for each year through this fun promotion, and every cent you designate to AHS will go to the organization. Add in the 10-percent match from Thunderbird Charities, and you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our animals!
