Giving Tuesday: Will You Help Animals Like Lucky and Buddy?
Last week you shared a day with your family and friends to give thanks for all the good in your life. Today, on Giving Tuesday, we hope that you can share some holiday joy with our little four-legged loved ones like Lucky and Buddy.
Lucky was thrown out of a moving truck along 43rd Avenue and Bell when he was just 5 weeks old. A Good Samaritan who witnessed the incident called AHS’ Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™, who rushed to the scene and brought Lucky back to our Second Chance Animal Hospital™. By some miracle, Lucky had no serious injuries, but he weighed less than a pound and needed to add additional weight before he was ready to find his forever home. After five weeks with one of our compassionate foster parents, Lucky is ready for his new life and will head home with his forever family this week.
Buddy is a 10-week-old terrier mix who was abandoned by his owner in the desert and left to fend for himself. This poor little guy was without food and water for days before a Good Samaritan found him and brought Buddy to AHS the day before Thanksgiving. Buddy arrived with a minor wound to his eye that our vets tended to, but was otherwise healthy and will soon be ready to find his forever home.
Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving and the charitable alternative to Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. Today, people worldwide are encouraged to give a little to their charity of choice and support their favorite cause with a small donation.
Lucky and Buddy rely on animal lovers like you to help provide them with food, shelter and care during the holiday season. Today, we ask you to join the Giving Tuesday movement and help fill the holidays with love for Lucky, Buddy and each of the 121 animals we take in every day.
