FOX 10: Cat Reunited with Rescuer and Good Samaritan

News Highlights:

  • Clara the 3-year-old cat was sadly hit by a car twice before Good Samaritan Clifford pulled over to rescue her.
  • She was having trouble breathing and Clifford immediately brought her to an emergency animal clinic for care. She was soon transported to AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™.
  • Clara was treated for 18 days in AHS’ trauma hospital where her proptosed eye was removed.
  • Clifford’s friend Jordan was interested in adopting Clara once she was healed and the three connected for a sweet reunion!
  • More than 11,000 sick and injured homeless pets were treated in AHS’ trauma hospital last year. Good Samaritans can call AHS’ rescue team at 602.997.7585 ext. 2073 to request an ambulance daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. After hours, sick and injured pets can also be brought to many emergency animal clinics in the Valley and are transported to AHS’ trauma hospital the following morning.
