Big Paws up to Linda and Ron

Linda and Ron began with the Arizona Humane Society as volunteer dog walkers in 2007. Two years later, they decided to become Foster Heroes. Over the past seven years, they’ve helped raise over 300 kittens, ranging from mothers with litters to kittens recovering from hip surgery.

Not only do Ron and Linda benefit from the love and adorable antics that each kitten provides, but the kittens also receive the opportunity to socialize with Ron and Linda’s three dogs, four cats and several neighborhood kids, making them great adoption candidates.

It’s always emotional when the time comes to bring the kittens back to the shelter, but like any dedicated foster parent, they follow every kitten on the website until they are adopted. Though tempting, they never adopt their foster cats because they know there are so many other pets that need their help.

Sometimes the greatest gift you can give an animal is time, love and a place to call home.

When you become an AHS foster hero, you are giving a second chance to an animal who needs temporary respite from the shelter as they heal from injury or illness.

Fostering is an amazing way to help us save animals, and you can involve the whole family! And now we’re making it super easy for you to find the perfect furry friend to nurse back to health through an online foster portal that you can search from the comfort of your own home.
