Double Your Impact For Homeless Pets With AHS’s $15,000 Match This Giving Tuesday!

Help the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) save the lives of twice as many sick, injured and abused homeless pets this Giving Tuesday thanks to an incredible donation match going now through November 29th. In honor of Giving Tuesday, all donations up to $15,000 will be DOUBLED thanks to the Gibney Williams Family and will help even more homeless pets in need of lifesaving care, like Nutmeg, just one of almost 14,000 pets treated in AHS’ trauma hospital each year. Last year, AHS cared for more than 17,000 sick, injured and abused pets like Nutmeg (pictured), who is currently undergoing treatment in the shelter’s trauma hospital. The adorable five-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix was rescued as a sick stray earlier this month after she was found to be emaciated, covered in ticks and tested positive for Valley Fever, a noncontagious fungal infection. Nutmeg is currently seeking a temporary home with a Foster Hero for weight gain while she continues treatment. Those interested in fostering can learn more and apply at azhumane.org/foster.

With an average cost of care of more than $1,300 for each of the pets that come through AHS’ doors, pets like Nutmeg could not be saved without the support of the community.
