Valley Business Donates Air Scrubbers To Arizona Humane Society

Day & Night’s Longstanding Partnership with AHS Totals More Than $100,000 in Donations Over Four Years.

The Arizona Humane Society’s pets are receiving a squeaky clean gift! Earlier today, Day & Night Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing, a local and family-owned company that is passionate about giving back to the community, generously donated four Air Scrubbers by Aerus, valued at almost $6,000, to the Arizona Humane Society in an effort to improve air quality for AHS’ staff and pets.

The Air Scrubber by Aerus installs directly into residential or commercial HVAC systems to remove surface and airborne contaminants including odors, dust, pet dander and other allergens. The air scrubbers will be installed at AHS’ Sunnyslope Campus in the areas of the organization’s Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™, Shelter Surgery, Admissions and Foster areas. Research shows that the technology kills 99.96% of airborne contaminants and 99.98% of surface SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19).

“Day & Night’s generous and thoughtful gift could not have come at a better time as Arizona continues to battle this horrific pandemic,” said Dr. Steven Hansen, AHS President and CEO. “The air scrubber technology provides an added layer of comfort to our teams as they carry on their essential work for the Valley’s homeless pets and we couldn’t be more grateful.”

“During the current situation with Covid-19, we know how important it is to stay safe and healthy,” said Day & Night Owner Jeff Martin. “Day & Night is happy to donate these air purifiers to AHS in order to give both the staff and animals the added protection of better air quality. It’s also a way for us to say ‘thank you’ to AHS for their contribution to the community, we are happy to partner with them!”

This is the fourth consecutive year Day & Night has donated to AHS, totaling more than $100,000, to help keep AHS’ pets safe.
