Adopt a Furry Friend for Less Than a Week’s Worth of Coffee, Thanks to BISSELL Pet foundation!

PHOENIX (July 17, 2023) – The Arizona Humane Society (AHS) is now offering $20 adoptions for ALL pets, including puppies and kittens, throughout the month of July. Today through Monday, July 31, 2023, all dogs, cats and critters will have $20 adoption fees thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation. Adoptable pets can be found at azhumane.org/adopt.

Thanks to this incredible special, those looking to expand their family by adding a furry friend can do so for less than a week’s worth of Starbucks or eating a meal out! With an average cost of care of almost $1,300 for each of the 18,000 sick, injured and abused pets AHS cares for, this is an incredible way to help stray pets like Spangle and Boris (pictured).

Spangle is a one-year-old Chihuahua that was rescued by an AHS Emergency Animal Medical Technician™ (EAMT™) in June of this year after he was found as a stray with severe injuries. Upon evaluation in the shelter’s trauma hospital, it was found that Spangle suffered from a proptosed eye, fractured skull and broken ribs. While undergoing treatment, the 5-pound-pup also came down with a puppy cold. Fast forward a little over a month later and Spangle is now ready for his forever home.

Boris, a three-year-old domestic shorthair tabby, also made his way to AHS as an injured stray in June. Picked up from a local veterinary clinic in Queen Creek by an AHS EAMT, he was found to have an infected wound on his face that needed several procedures in the shelter’s trauma hospital to clip and clean his injury. A bit nervous at first, Boris is a gentle and sweet boy who would love a patient home.

Adopting from the Arizona Humane Society helps save not just the life of that pet but also allows space for even more, sick, injured and abused pets to be cared for. All pets come spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped with a free follow-up VCA Hospital pet exam.
