Shelter Announces $50 Adoption Fee for All Animals at Scottsdale Location During PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week

PHOENIX (July 10, 2023) – In honor of National Kitten Day coinciding with the start of PetSmart Charities’ National Adoption Week, the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) is announcing $50 adoptions for all adoptable pets at its PetSmart Scottsdale location (Miller Rd. and Camelback Rd.) starting, Monday, July 10 through Sunday, July 16, 2023.

In the height of cat and kitten season, along with the dangerous summer temperatures, AHS continues to care for an unprecedented amount of the Valley’s sick, injured and abused pets. Coming off of multiple adoption specials where hundreds of homeless pets have found their forever families, AHS continues to care for almost 1,200 sick, injured and abused pets, more than half of which are cats and kittens.

Kittens like Phyllis (pictured), a 10-week-old longhair orange tabby who was rescued by AHS as a sick underaged, orphaned kitten last month. Treated in the shelter’s Bottle Baby ICU for a kitty cold with extended care in a loving AHS Foster Hero home, this sweet girl is a perfect example of just one of the 20,000 pets that AHS anticipates will enter the shelter doors this year.

All of AHS’ pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and come with a free follow-up VCA vet exam. To learn more about Phyllis and other pets who are a part of this special at AHS’ PetSmart Scottsdale location, visit azhumane.org/adopt.
