ABC 15: Redbone Coonhound Found Shot with a Pellet Gun
- Gunner is a 1-year-old Redbone Coonhound who arrived at AHS in April when he was found with a gunshot wound and brought to an emergency animal clinic in the West Valley. He was picked up by AHS’ Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and transported to AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ for treatment.
- Veterinarians discovered that he was shot with a pellet gun, causing secondary hemothorax, or blood in his chest.
- Though this shot could have killed Gunner, we are so thankful that he is still with us today and is in high spirits! He is currently recovering in an AHS Foster Hero’s home where he is spoiled with lots of love.
