UPDATE 10/12/17: Adopted!

We are happy to report that Jefe and Jericho have finally found their furever home together!

News Highlights:

  •  Jefe the Chihuahua and Jericho the German Shepherd were rescued by AHS EAMTs after their owner could no longer care for them. Jericho was sick, malnourished, and tick-infested, and Jefe was found lying on top of him.
  • When the EAMT turned around, the otherwise healthy Jefe was frantic to have been separated from his best friend. It was then clear that the two were extremely bonded and would have to be adopted together.
  • The pair was treated in AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital and spend time recovering in a loving Foster Hero’s home.
  • Jericho was diagnosed with Valley Fever, an infection caused by fungus in soil, and Jefe has committed to sticking around and cheering on his best buddy through it.
