AHS’ Volunteer Spotlight
Big paws up to Sandy Shriver!
AHS would like to shine a spotlight on volunteer Sandy Shriver. Sandy has been a wonderful, dependable volunteer at our Petique at the Shops at Norterra for the past two years! Our Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, Hilary Cacioppo, refers to Sandy as a ray of sunshine who always has a positive attitude.
In addition to helping out at our Norterra location, Sandy enjoys hitting the road with our Waggin’ Wheels Mobile Adoption Vehicle, which travels across the Valley finding homes for our adoptable cats and dogs. Megan Franks, AHS’ Community Engagement Coordinator who operates Waggin’ Wheels, enjoys having her company and says, “Sandy has such a great personality! She’s so bright and such a joy to be with!”
Sandy is committed not only to helping the Arizona Humane Society, but the entire Phoenix community. In addition to her volunteering with our organization, she also volunteers at her local library and supports the Arizona Diamondbacks by helping sell tickets for their games.
As a big animal lover, Sandy has opened her home to dogs, cats and rabbits. She is a vegetarian who is dedicated to helping all animals, both big and small. We are incredibly lucky to have Sandy on our volunteer team and enjoy seeing her every week!
