Youth Event: Reading Fur Fun

August 8 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Is your child a passionate animal lover but not quite old enough to volunteer? Reading Fur Fun is a special reading program that gives children the opportunity to improve their reading skills by enriching the lives of shelter dogs! Each month, children ages 8-11 can sign up to read to our dog friends at our Nina Mason Pullium Campus for Compassion. This helps students practice reading and teaches important socialization skills to our dogs awaiting adoption. Your child can even wear their favorite storybook character costume! AHS will have a selection of books on hand, but kids are welcome to bring their own.

Details: The fee for registering your child for Reading Fur Fun is non-refundable. If your child needs to cancel, the registration will be converted to a tax-deductible donation. For questions, contact education@azhumane.org.

Ages: 8-11

Location: Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion (1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041)
