The Arizona Humane Society will help make more tails wag by connecting with the community through AHS’ mobile veterinary services, courtesy of a generous grant by the Banfield Foundation.

Last fall, the Banfield Foundation generously donated nearly $240,000 to benefit the Arizona Humane Society’s mobile clinic efforts throughout the year! This generous grant and in-kind donation of more than 14,300 vaccines and preventatives will support our Healthy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic on the San Carlos Apache and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Communities through October 2023.

In early November, we kicked off the season with a five-day event at the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation, where AHS provided free medical care and spay/neuter surgeries to 386 owned pets. Additionally, we rounded out the month with events at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Communities. Today, after three months of lifesaving, preventative services, our mobile clinic has helped over 650 pet owners and over 800 dogs and cats, helping to keep more pets and their owners together while keeping our four-legged friends happy and healthy.

This is just the beginning! Thanks to Banfield Foundation’s generous grant, AHS will be able to help more than 3,000 pets by providing vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries and other medical care over the course of the year. This grant is critical to our work and efforts to keep more pets and people together by ensuring our community has access to affordable and free veterinary care for their pets.

Check out all the dates our Healthy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic will be on the move and in the community!
