Clear the Shelters Event Waiving Fees for Pets 6 Months and Older

We’re partnering with NBCUniversal and Telemundo once again to clear our shelter! Beginning Saturday, September 7, and lasting through Sunday, September 8, pets 6 months and older will be $0 to adopt at all three of our adoption locations. We’re urging our neighbors to help us open much-needed kennel space as we continue to care for the highest number of pets we’ve seen in a decade.

Since its 2015 inception, NBCUniversal and Telemundo’s Clear The Shelters event has resulted in more than one million pet adoptions and raised millions of dollars for participating shelters and rescues. Now returning for it’s 10th anniversary, sponsored by our good friends at Hill’s Pet Nutrition, we’re hoping that this year’s event will be the most impactful yet.

The Clear The Shelters initiative has become a cornerstone in our mission to find loving homes for every animal in our care. This year’s partnership is even more special as we celebrate a decade of success in connecting pets with families who will cherish them all across the country.

We encourage everyone in the community to stop by and meet the precious pets waiting for their forever homes. Whether you’re looking for a playful puppy, a cuddly cat or a hoppy hare, we have animals of all ages and breeds eager to become a part of your family.

• Pets 6 months and older $0 to adopt
• All Arizona Humane Society adoption locations
• Lasting September 7-8
• All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and adopters will take home a starter kit of Hill’s Science Diet food
