Vaccine Blitz on March 20: Free Vaccines for Dogs at 3 Locations in Phoenix

One vaccine at time, the Arizona Humane Society is working to make sure every pet is protected from diseases like Parvo and Distemper. But to accomplish this mission, we have to go beyond the walls of our shelter and reach the pets who are at the greatest risk.

This past February, the Arizona Humane Society teamed up with Food City to set up mobile clinics are three different locations across the Valley. Thanks to the generosity of Food City, Petco Love, and long-time donors Ann Siner and Lori Galvin, AHS was able to offer free vaccines and microchips to pets in need.

AHS’ President and CEO, Dr. Steven Hansen joined the veterinary staff as they dedicated an entire day to vaccinating vulnerable pets. In all more than 450 pets were treated during the day-long event across three locations.

On March 20, 2023, AHS’ Healthy Tails Mobile Veterinary Clinic will be out again at Food City locations to provide free vaccines and microchips at the following locations:

  • Food City: 5114 W. McDowell Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85035
  • Food City: 6544 W. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85033
  • Food City: 845 W. Southern Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85041

This event is first-come, first-serve with 150 spots available at each location. No appointment necessary.

Circle of Friends Helps Support Spay/Neuter
Throughout the month of February, AHS was also able to offer $20 spay and neuter surgeries in honor of World Spay Day. Thanks to funding from our generous Circle of Friends, 441 pets received spay and neuter surgeries in the month of February alone. This passionate group of animal advocates helps ensure pet owners have access to affordable spay/neuter services which are critical to managing the pet population. Thank you, Circle of Friends!
