June is National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month, But We Are Celebrating Through July with Waived Cat Adoptions!
Throughout the months of June and July, AHS will waive adoption fees for cats ages one year and older! All AHS adoption locations are temporarily closed to walk-in visits, but our Virtual Adoption Matchmaker Program is available to place pets with furever families by appointment at our Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion.
Interested adopters can view available pets
here and
schedule an appointment online to meet their next furry friend. The pet you are interested in today may be adopted before your appointment time, but new pets are coming through our doors each and every day. Check back to see which pets are available as your appointment nears and be sure to keep an eye on the scheduling tool for open appointments! Please note that all visitors will be required to wear a face mask/covering. AHS will offer a disposable mask, free of charge, to visitors without one at our Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion.
All adoptable cats have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date on all current vaccinations. They are also sent home with a bag of
Hills Science Diet food, a free follow-up veterinary exam with
VCA Animal Hospitals, free pet insurance coverage for 30 days, and special adopter discounts on programs and services
. Cat adopters must have or purchase an appropriate carrier at time of adoption ($5 cat boxes are available for purchase).
Because AHS cares for the Valley’s most vulnerable sick, injured and abused pets, the average cost of care per AHS pet is more than $1,000. Any additional contribution towards your new family member’s adoption is greatly appreciated and will help save the lives of more furry friends just like them!
