The Arizona Humane Society’s BISSELL Challenge: Adopt Out 750 Pets in Just 21 Days

Written by: Arizona Humane Society
AHS is waiving all adoption fees July 11-31 to help place hundreds more pets in homes thanks to the BISSELL Pet Foundation.

With the Arizona Humane Society (AHS) in its busiest time of year, the shelter is hoping to get 750 pets adopted in just 21 days! This year alone, more than 6,600 saving sick, injured and abused pets have already found their forever homes and AHS is asking for the community’s help to clear its shelter this month. Thanks to Bissell Pet Foundation, adoption fees for ALL adoptable AHS pets will be waived starting Monday, July 11th through Sunday, July 31st (puppies and kittens included)!

Air Conditioner InstallOne such pet in desperate need of finding a family to call his own is Rocky (pictured). The nine-years-young pup has been in AHS’ care for 155 days (and counting) after his previous owner surrendered him in February of this year. Rocky is a super wiggly pup who loves attention, walks great on a leash and knows his basic commands but continues to be overlooked.

More than 1,200 pets, just like Rocky, are being cared for within AHS’ shelter and in loving Foster Hero homes. Adopting a pet from AHS not only gives a pet in need the loving home it deserves, it allows AHS Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and Cruelty Investigators to continue bringing in even more sick, injured and abused pets with nowhere else to turn.

Both Arizona Humane Society adoption locations will be taking part in this special and all pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on all vaccinations. You’ll also receive a bag of Hill’s Science Diet food and a free follow-up veterinary exam with VCA Animal Hospitals.
