Darcy was Found in an Alley Caring for Her Newborn Kittens.
Darcy, just 11 months old at the time, was suffering from an eye injury and was brought to the Arizona Humane Society for treatment in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™.
Darcy’s injury would eventually require the removal of her eye, and she spent five weeks in the home of a Foster Hero while she recovered and continued to nurse her babies. Once they were ready for adoption, Darcy’s kittens quickly found homes. Darcy soon followed, as the Good Samaritan who found her decided Darcy was the perfect fit for her home in Phoenix.
AHS has become a safety net for vulnerable pets just like Darcy and her kittens, as our comprehensive medical, behavior rehabilitation, surrender intervention and spay/neuter initiatives have helped save an additional 80,000 lives over the past five years.
And today, you can help us save even more lives as your generous gift will be doubled! Our friends at VCA Animal Hospitals are matching all gifts up to $30,000 so your donation will go twice as far! Your gift of $50 will become $100, or $250 will become $500.
So many pets like Darcy could use your help this holiday season. Give hope to twice as many homeless and abused animals today!
