News Highlights:

  • Team members of AHS’ medical team members offered our veterans and their pets free veterinary care at 2019 Maricopa County StandDown.
  • Over two days, our team served 32 pets in need of medical care to both veterans and pets who cannot, for a multitude of reasons, be around too many people.
  • Thanks to the support of the Daughters of the American Revolution, we were able to join several veterinary teams to impact our community’s veterans and their pets.
  • Since 2001, the Maricopa County StandDown, coordinated by the Arizona Housing Coalition’s Arizona Veterans StandDown Alliance has served military veterans and their families experiencing or at risk of homelessness in our state’s capital. This has grown to one of the largest events of its kind in the country and connects veterans and their families to critical supportive services and resources.
