FOX 10: Fox Hound Rescued by EAMTs, Needs to be Rescued by Family

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

News Highlights:

  • Cinnamon Sugar, a 4-year-old Fox Hound mix, was rescued by our EAMTs™ after she was abandoned in a backyard. She was tethered with a very tight collar, mold was found in her water dish, and she was terribly emaciated.
  • Unfortunately, when our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ team treated her upon arrival, they found that Cinnamon Sugar had a severe case of Valley Fever, which was attacking her pelvic bones and causing her to have a hard time getting up and walking around. Our hope is that with time and medication (such as an anti-fungal medication), she will progressively get better. Because of her medical disposition, Cinnamon Sugar’s adoption fee will be waived.
  • We are happy to report that just hours after this segment aired, Cinnamon Sugar was rescued by a wonderful family!
