Local Home-Run Phoenix Rescue Group Surrendered All Pets to AHS

On Wednesday, March 15, Arizona Humane Society Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ rescued 34 animals living in horrendous conditions. Among the animals surrendered were 24 dogs (Huskies, Plot Hounds, Pit Bulls, and more, from puppies to seniors) and 10 domestic cats.

All of the animals are currently being treated by the medical team at AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ and will soon be assessed by AHS’ Behavior team.

All of the dogs need medical treatment for illness or wounds, and they are all malnourished, tick-infested, and have hair loss. A few of the dogs are in critical condition and are currently being monitored very closely.

Last year, AHS’ EAMTs performed over 6,300 animal cruelty investigations and more than 8,900 sick, injured and abused animals were treated in our Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital. Make a lifesaving gift today to help us continue to care for and rehabilitate injured and abused animals just like these who need our help.
