EAMT Engine kitten rescueAnother EAMT Kitten Rescue: 8-week-old Camry Recovering at AHS

The Arizona Humane Society’s Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ have seen it all and respond to more than 10,000 emergency rescues and animal cruelty investigations each year. Yet, the past two weeks have proved to be a cat and kitten rescue frenzy as our team rescues felines, one after another, out of precarious situations. From palm trees to drains, the rescues have now shifted over to car engines, a popular place for kittens to land when the temperatures dip a bit at night.

Fortunately, little 8-week-old Camry, is in good shape medically and just a bit dirty after being rescued by EAMT Juju. He is currently under the care of AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ and will receive a bath and his neuter surgery before heading to the adoption floor this week. Potential adopters can call 602.997.7585 if interested in adopting the little guy.

UPDATE: CAMRY GOT ADOPTED!

These unbelievable kitten rescues shed light on the Valley’s extreme kitten season, in which hundreds of felines enter shelters across the Valley. Kitten fosters are desperately needed, whether it is for one-night emergency overnight care, four weeks or eight weeks, and AHS provides all of the medical support and supplies needed to care for these felines. For those who may not be able to adopt, but who are interested in making a difference in the lives of kittens, please sign up for an AHS foster hero orientation.
