AHS Alums Help Veterans Through Soldier’s Best Friend

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

Soldier's Best FriendOn August 4th, AHS joined Soldier’s Best Friend in celebrating the latest graduating class of veterans and their dogs, of which six were AHS alums. Since 2011, AHS has provided Soldier’s Best Friend with 38 dogs who are now forever friends to those who gave so much for our country.

Soldier’s Best Friend is an amazing non-profit that helps veterans dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) by pairing them up with a service dog. Both the soldier and dog train together for six to nine months alongside trainers provided at no cost by the organization.
