Rescued From Neglect, Nina Finds Forever Home

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

This past January, our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ rescued 2-year-old Nina from deplorable conditions. She was entangled in a chain and tied up so tightly that she couldn’t reach her water or food dishes or even lay down. The extremely thin pup spent weeks in our care adding weight, and eventually made a full recovery before finding her new forever home.

Sadly, every year, our EAMTs respond to more than 22,000 calls to help animals who have been abused, neglected or injured just like Nina. In recognition of the ASPCA’s Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month in April, we remind you to please report animal cruelty by contacting 602.997.7585 Ext. 2073.

To watch Nina’s heartwarming happy ending and for more information on how you can help protect pets in danger, check out our video clip from this past weekend’s Pets On Parade – AHS’ weekly television show that broadcasts each Saturday at 12:30 p.m. on KTVK Channel 3.
