Arizona Gives Day: Help Save the Lives of Pets Like Elijah

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

Watch Elijah’s amazing story of survival!

Last October, an amazing family saved the life of an amazing pit bull.

Andi Davis found Elijah shot, near death while hiking on a mountaintop and carried the 47-pound dog a half-mile down the mountain before rushing him to the Arizona Humane Society. We treated Elijah, helped nurse him back to health and then eventually watched Elijah find his happy ending with the Davis family, who couldn’t resist his beautiful eyes, sweet personality and just had to make him part of their forever family.

Today, as we celebrate Arizona Gives Day, a state-wide, 24-hour giving campaign, where Arizonans are encouraged to give online to their favorite nonprofit, we ask you to please open up your heart and make a gift so we can give more pets like Elijah a second chance.

Please share Elijah’s remarkable video story with your friends, family and neighbors and help inspire them to make a gift as well. If we finish the day with the most donors or most money raised, AHS can win extra funds – as much as $33,000! – to care for even more homeless pets than ever before!

Will you help save the lives of more pets like Elijah? Donate today!
