Spay Day is Tuesday, February 23

Did you know?

Over 7 million* animals enter shelters every year in the U.S. Pet overpopulation is a very serious epidemic, especially here in Arizona, where we have many contributing factors - extended breeding season, abandoned animals and unwanted litters - that make it difficult to control the number of homeless pets in our community. Their chance of survival is lessened by our extreme heat, busy roadways and wild predatory animals.

The Arizona Humane Society cares for 45,000 animals annually, which is a small number compared to the amount of homeless pets that we cannot accommodate. Join us in our fight to end animal overpopulation by participating in Spay Day, February 23.
