As a leader in the animal welfare community AHS is dedicated to thinking differently about the state of animal welfare which has resulted in countless first-of-their-kind programs and services. Over the years, as the economy weakened and the number of pets being surrendered to AHS increased due to high medical costs, AHS commitment to keeping pet within their loving homes also increased. It is that compassionate spirit which compels us to seek further advancements in medical technology and the standards of care available to not only pets, but also the people in their lives.
