Arizona Humane Society was founded in 1957 by a compassionate group of volunteers. 55 years later, dedicated volunteers who embody AHS’ compassionate spirit continue to grace our shelters, thrift stores and retail shops. Our volunteer force has grown to over 1,800 and we simply could not do what we do without them.
