Two of the city’s highest-profile business leaders, philanthropists and sisters, Ann Siner and Tess Loo, will co-chair this year’s 20th annual Compassion with Fashion luncheon on Sunday, March 25 at the Camelback Inn Resort and Spa. “The room will be bright, bold and happy and everyone will leave with a smile on their face, a skip in their step and joy in their hearts,” said Tess. “Guests can expect auction items unrivaled from other events, fashion that everyone will love and can afford, and pets, pets, pets,” added Ann.
Even back when the sisters first founded My Sister’s Closet in 1991, they made it a priority to give back to our community. Today, the store, along with My Sister’s Attic and Well Suited are the largest designer resale brick and mortar retailers in the country. Since their inception, Ann and Tess’ businesses have contributed nearly $7 million in monetary and product donations to animal welfare organizations in both California and Arizona. This includes Arizona Humane Society’s three thrift stores, all in an effort to help “save the lives of those without voices.”
Presented by PetSmart Charities, Inc., the luncheon’s festivities begin with an incomparable silent auction, featuring a divine champagne raffle, a Ron Burns’ exclusive, original painting and mystery Dazzle Boxes. We will also celebrate a very special honoree, Paradise Valley’s Daryl Weil for her longstanding philanthropy, compassion and commitment to homeless pets in our community. Accompanying lunch will be a high-energy, upbeat fashion show presented by My Sister’s Closet and Well Suited for the sixth year.
