Spay & Neuter Pre-Surgery Instructions

You and your pet need to be prepared for your pet’s spay or neuter surgery. Here are some things you’ll need to do to help him or her get ready.

  • Don’t give your pets any food for 12 hours prior to the surgery.
  • All Pets must be at least 2 months old.*
  • All pets must weight at least 2 ½ pounds.**
  • Dogs must be on a leash and cats must be in a carrier.

Because of possible complications, we may not be able to accept females that are in heat or pregnant, males with one or both testicles un-descended (crypt-orchid). Unfortunately, because we are a low-risk public clinic, we may not be able to accept overtly aggressive animals to ensure the safety of your pet and our staff. If such a condition exists and the animal is accepted for surgery, additional fees will apply.

Your pet will be ready to go home on the same day – so please be prepared to pick up you pet at a designated time.

Save time & fill out surgery check-in paperwork before coming in
