Enjoy a Humane Ed-venture!

Sure, we help thousands of animals find their forever homes each year. But the work we do for animals in our community goes beyond the shelter. So what better way to show it than with a visit to our beautiful Nina Mason Pulliam Campus for Compassion?

Our Humane Ed-venture camps feature a blended model of Humane and Character education to closely align with and reinforce the values kids are already familiar with.

Shelter Tours

Perfect for school groups (ages 7 and up), clubs, scout troops and others who want to learn more about us, we offer tours between 10am and 1pm. Your group will visit our dog, cat and critter adoption center. Through our Stardust Humane Education Program, we’ll teach the importance of having respect and empathy for all types of animals. 

Our tour covers approximately 20 acres, so we advise everyone to bring bottled water and sunscreen. Tours are free, but we gladly accept donations.

 

Want to go on a Shelter Tour? We require advance registration – walk-ins will not be accommodated. ALL TOURS ARE GIVEN MONDAYS, THURSDAYS & SATURDAYS AT OUR SOUTH MOUNTAIN NINA MASON PULLIUM CAMPUS FOR COMPASSION AND MUST BE REQUESTED AT LEAST 1 WEEK IN ADVANCE.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate with the Arizona Humane Society Party Animal Birthday Package! Parties are held at our Campus for Compassion, with tours of our shelter and barn at beautiful South Mountain! Create memories while interacting with shelter animals, crafting materials to help them find forever homes, learn valuable lessons about caring for companion animals and much more!
