Arizona Humane Society asks animal lovers to give help, give hope, give life

 
(PHOENIX) – Put your compassion in action and help the homeless animals at Arizona Humane Society during the 12th Annual Pet Telethon on August 14. Presented by GoDaddy.com, this year’s telethon promises to be the nonprofit organization’s largest and most innovative fundraiser to date. Airing from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on ABC15, the telethon will be hosted by the Valley’s own Pat McMahon and will highlight the diverse and meaningful work of AHS in its efforts to rescue, heal, shelter, adopt and advocate for animals in need.

      As the event’s title sponsor, Scottsdale-based Go Daddy is generously providing $100,000 to animals who have no one else to care for them. The world’s largest Web hosting provider and #1 domain name registrar also will provide technical support to ensure seamless website operations during the telethon.

      “Go Daddy cares about the community - donating time and money to provide for Arizona’s animals is part of that commitment,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “As presenting sponsor of Arizona Humane Society’s Pet Telethon for the fifth year, Go Daddy is matching online donations up to 50 thousand dollars, and we encourage everyone to help out any way they can.”

      Not only will viewers get a glimpse of the many programs and services AHS offers, but they’ll also have the opportunity to see a sampling of the many adorable dogs, puppies, cats, kittens and critters available for adoption at AHS.

      “Our goal for this year’s pet telethon is to unite our community and inspire viewers to put their compassion in action and give help, hope and a second chance at life to a homeless animal,” said Guy Collison, executive director for Arizona Humane Society.

      Joining Go Daddy in sponsoring this year’s telethon are VCA Animal Hospitals, Hill’s Science Diet, US Airways, PetSmart, Outback Steakhouse, Harkins Theatres, Coca-Cola, AAM, Newport Creative, University of Phoenix, Fairwinds Pet Loss and Memorial Services and Safelite Auto Glass.

      “We are grateful to have an amazing group of corporate partners, who share in our belief that every pet deserves a good life,” said Collison.
