Tim Crum
Tim Crum, Executive Director

Tim Crum, a long time animal advocate with diverse and successful professional experience in animal welfare, joined the Arizona Humane Society in January 2008 as Executive Director. He is responsible for overseeing the state’s non-profit animal-welfare and protection agency, and considered one of the most successful, nonprofit humane organizations in the United States

Prior to joining the Arizona Humane Society, Tim served as Director of Marketing and Development for PetSmart Charities, when, during his three-year tenure, he led a team to increase contribution revenue from $10-million to $22-million. Prior to that, he was the director of a government-run animal care and control facility in Virginia; an executive director of a non-profit animal shelter in Maryland; and served as the director of development and public relations for the largest animal shelter in Pittsburgh, PA. He has been in the non-profit world for over two decades.

Tim currently serves on the board of directors for the Greater Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals and is the Marketing Chairperson. He has presented lectures, at national conferences, on subjects ranging from fund raising to marketing to special events.

He holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Pittsburgh and completed 18 credits toward a master of public administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. He is married, has one daughter and is the proud pet parent of two dogs and one cat – “Buddy” is an eight-year-old cocker-spaniel mix adopted from an animal shelter; “Daisy” is an eight-month old Golden Retriever-mix; and “Two Socks” is a domestic short-hair cat adopted from an animal shelter.
