First "Puttin’ for Pooches" Poker Run Set to Ride May 16

Benefit for AHS Includes Stops at Five Valley Locations Ending at Rawhide   

Hundreds of motorcycle riders are expected to spend Saturday, May 16 “Puttin for Pooches” during a one-day poker run to benefit the Arizona Humane Society (AHS).

p4pThe event will begin at the AHS’ Nina Mason Pulliam Campus of Compassion, 1521 West Dobbins Road, with registration from 7 - 9 a.m. Riders and passengers will enjoy a free pancake breakfast, courtesy of Hills Science Diet. They can also purchase lunch tickets for $8, which will be served at the end of the ride, before cruising to stops in Anthem, Scottsdale and Chandler. The poker run stops will be at the following locations:

  • Buddy Stubbs Harley Davidson, 41715 N. 41st Drive in Anthem
  • The Billet Bar, 3752 N Scottsdale Rd in Scottsdale
  • Chandler Harley Davidson, 6895 W Chandler Blvd
The final stop for Puttin’ for Pooches will be at Rawhide Wild West Town, 5700 West North Loop Road in Chandler, where registered riders and passengers with the highest and lowest hands will be awarded prizes. AHS Executive Director Guy Collison also will be at Rawhide to meet and thank participants for their efforts on behalf of AHS.

Registration is $10 per rider and $10 per passenger, plus a donation of dog or cat food or a donation of gently used clothing to the AHS Thrift Store. Each registered rider and passenger will receive a free Puttin’ for Pooches t-shirt.
