Inspired by Chicago's Cows on Parade, art fair junky and fundraising veteran Cheri Richardson recognized the potential of uniting our vibrant art community with Arizona's largest non-profit animal welfare and protection agency. Tapping into the creative vision and talent of accomplished artist, Misty Mulleneaux, the concept was taken to a new level.

The Mulleneaux sculptures, loosely based on her colorful cubist style, capture attention and provide the "canvas" for area artists.

In 2011 we introduced the Petcasso Collection with a dog base sculpture and added a cat figure in 2012 to share the limelight. Keeping each collection fresh, our 2013 pups and kitties are wall mountable rather than free-standing. With great appreciation, we again recognize E2 Innovations for making these pieces possible. Their generosity and precision enables consistent production of each base, which are then individually formed by hand. The 2013 Petcasso Collection features 24 artists culled from local art leagues, galleries and fine art exhibitions, invited to uniquely embellish the 18-gauge steel, custom pieces.
