Give Hope to Pets like Odie this Giving Tuesday

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

Odie was Rescued in June by Our Pet Paramedics Suffering from a Pair of Broken Legs After he was Hit by a Car.

When you see Odie running full blast these days, doing laps around the yard like he’s a racecar driver, you’d never know the near tragedy he suffered just months ago.

The year-old Dachshund mix would require five surgeries in our trauma hospital to repair his legs, and spent nearly four months under the watchful eye of one of our compassionate foster heroes who helped nurse him back to health. In October, the now high-energy pup found a new, loving home in Phoenix.

Yesterday, you gave thanks for the joy and happiness in your life. Next week on Giving Tuesday, we ask you give hope to homeless and abused animals like Odie who rely on you for a happy holiday season. Giving Tuesday is a national day of giving and the charitable alternative to Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.

When you make a gift between now and Tuesday, November 28th, you’re providing food, toys, treats and care for pets who will be spending the holidays with us. And if you make a donation of $50 or more or sign up for a monthly gift of any amount, our pets will show their appreciation by sending you a free 2018 AHS calendar – the cutest calendar you’ll ever see!

Thank you for showing our pets we can do more with our wallets this holiday season than just shop.
