Click to find out how you can be a hero to a hero.

The Arizona Humane Society is partnering with PetSmart, Inc. and Credit Union West to care for and protect the animals of those who are protecting us around the world.

As the presenting sponsor of AHS’ Project Active Duty program, PetSmart has dedicated $30,000 over two years to the program. Launched as a response to the September 11th attacks, AHS started Project Active Duty as a way to give back to the brave men and women serving our country. This program allows loving pet owners leaving for a tour of duty to entrust their pets with AHS, providing not only a peace of mind during their deployment, but comfort knowing that when they return, their pet will be waiting for them.

As one of the Valley’s most ardent supporters of pets and people, PetSmart saw the value of Project Active Duty to the military community and realized the potential of fostering as a whole for Valley pets. This partnership will allow AHS to not only promote Project Active Duty, but to recruit foster families and increase the number of foster homes available for the thousands of pets who may need temporary shelter beyond what our facilities can provide.

CUW_RGBAs a supporter of Project Active Duty, Credit Union West continues a 60 year tradition of enhancing the quality of life for those who serve in America’s Armed Forces. Working closely with base leadership, the credit union supports force readiness through a variety of financial fitness programs and is honored and proud to support our troops.

The Arizona Humane Society is thankful for PetSmart and Credit Union West’s dedication to our mission, to our programs and services, to the courageous heroes who keep our country safe and to the thousands of animals we care for each year.
